Gameplay suffers from persistent issues seen in the first game, including overcrowded levels and a tedious upgrade system where enhancements reset after each level. While the introduction of procedurally generated maps and weapon selection adds some variety, the overall experience is marred by an unengaging weapon swapping mechanic and a lack of enjoyment.
“To add to the gameplay, the maps are procedurally generated and you need to choose the right weapons to kill each kind of enemy.”
“Gameplay still has some of the same issues as the first game; too many enemies in a level. Even though they tried cutting the size in half, it still causes the same problems.”
“They do allow you to upgrade your ship, however, after every level these upgrades vanish and you have to save up gold again just to reapply them, making the gameplay kind of boring and unfun to play through.”
“The gameplay itself really isn't fun for a few reasons.”
