    10 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The game's story is hampered by a lack of translation, making it difficult for players to understand quest objectives and narrative elements. While it features a variety of quests typical of MMORPGs, the untranslated text can lead to confusion, detracting from the overall experience. Players suggest that without updates to provide English translations, the game may not be worth the investment compared to more polished alternatives.

    • “Despite the challenges with untranslated quest texts, the overall quest design and structure provide a rich experience for players who enjoy exploration and adventure.”

    • “Some of the quest texts are untranslated, making it hard to figure out the objective.”
    • “Nice game, but for God's sake, update the game so we get English text in quest descriptions.”

    • “The art style is unique and beautifully crafted, making every scene a visual delight.”

  • humor
    2 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The humor in the game is derived from its absurd design choices, such as the marksman class scaling abilities off wisdom, which players find amusingly illogical. Additionally, the game's lack of improvement since 2008, and perceived downgrade, adds a layer of dark humor to the overall experience.

    • “Some abilities for the marksman class, for instance, scale off of wisdom, which is hilarious. Why would you select wisdom for a ranged marksman class?”
    • “I remember what this game looked like in 2008, and the fact that the game not only hasn't seen any improvement since then, but in fact has been downgraded since 2008 is just hilarious.”

    1 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The game's stability has been criticized for being poorly developed, with numerous bugs, language issues, and a lack of multiplayer functionality, leading to a perception of it being a "half put together mess."

    • “I beta tested this game when it was going to be an MMORPG years ago. Now, it's a half-put-together mess with language issues, buggy widgets, and only single-player.”
    • “The game crashes frequently, making it nearly unplayable at times.”
    • “I encountered numerous bugs that completely broke my experience, forcing me to restart multiple times.”
  • replayability
    1 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The game's replayability is enhanced by a variety of unlockable content, making it enjoyable for casual play, despite some technical issues and mistranslations. It serves as a nostalgic experience for players, though its long-term appeal may be limited by these flaws.

    • “The game offers a wealth of unlockable content, enhancing its replayability and making it enjoyable to revisit.”
    • “Despite some technical issues, the game remains solid enough to play occasionally, providing a nostalgic experience for those looking to replay.”
    • “Mythos has a lot of content that encourages players to return, making it a great choice for those who enjoy exploring different aspects of the game.”
    • “The game has a lot of content unlocked from the shop, but it feels like a nostalgia trip rather than a game worth replaying. It has major issues, like the 0fps bug in Hellgate: London, which makes it almost unplayable. Mythos suffers from many mistranslated areas, and it's doubtful they'll ever be fixed.”
    • “While the game offers some replay value, it ultimately feels like a one-time experience. The nostalgia factor is there, but the lack of meaningful updates or improvements makes it hard to justify multiple playthroughs.”
    • “Replayability is severely lacking. The game feels repetitive, and without significant changes or new content, it doesn't encourage players to return after the initial playthrough.”
