MX vs. ATV Supercross Encore is a bad remaster. There's a ton of content to be found here, but the unreliable physics, iffy controls, and immensely erratic framerate ruin what could otherwise have been a decent budget title. Sadly, those looking for their MX vs. ATV fix are much better off waiting for Rainbow Studios to develop a new instalment in this series specifically for the PS4.

The graphics of the game have received overwhelmingly negative feedback, with many users describing them as outdated, resembling early 2000s titles, and lacking in detail. Players have criticized the absence of in-game graphic options, leading to poor performance and visual quality, even on high-end PCs. While some acknowledge minor improvements, the consensus is that the graphics are subpar and need significant optimization and enhancement to meet modern standards.
“Graphics are nice, the tracks are really well built, the game runs amazing (on both my computer with a GTX 1080, and my friend's computer with a 1050), the multiplayer is pretty good when there are people playing, the connection is pretty solid, and you can play with a manual transmission!”
“I logged back in to give it another go after the patch and I noticed immediately the graphic improvements on the bikes, rider, and tracks.”
“Its graphics are very improved from the last MX game on PC, Reflex.”
“This is a straight up port from Xbox One to PC, no in-game graphic options menu. It's a crap-looking console game and a cheap port.”
“The graphics are absolutely terrible, and there's no in-game options to improve them, so the anti-aliasing remains all jagged and pixelated.”
“Game is still a hot mess; graphics are rehashed and look terrible, physics feel unnatural, and there is little to no innovation.”

Despite some improvements noted after recent updates, the consensus is that significant optimization work is still needed to enhance gameplay and overall performance. Many players express frustration, suggesting that the game feels like a poorly optimized console port rather than a polished PC title.

“Besides the optimization issues, the game is feeling a lot better since the last update; the ground is no longer ice, and your bike gets traction.”
“Yes, it needs some fixes and performance optimization, but I trust they will sort it out.”
“Refund in 3..2..1 worst jogability ever, rude game, need more optimization and better gameplay, hard to play, bike jumping like a horse!!”
“I had faith in Nordic Games to deliver a better product than Reflex and Alive, but they managed to release what feels like a poorly optimized, half-baked copy of MX vs ATV Unleashed with the shoddiest 'rider control' mechanics ever imagined.”
“There are no features in play for PC, no graphics settings aside from resolution, and the optimization is worse than piss poor; it's non-existent.”

30%MX vs. ATV: Supercross Review
I can’t recommend this game to anyone really. Maybe you would be better off hunting down a copy of Alive if you need to scratch the Motocross itch. There’s something admirable about bringing back a once dead franchise, but not when it amounts to, well, cynical shovelware at best.
