The graphics of the game receive mixed reviews, with many praising the visuals as a significant improvement over previous titles in the series, showcasing beautiful textures and environments. However, some players criticize the graphics as outdated or subpar for a 2018 release, noting issues like pop-in and limited graphical options. Overall, while the graphics are generally considered good, they fall short of modern standards and expectations for a game at this price point.
“The tracks are awesome and the graphics are amazing.”
“Great graphics and physics.”
“Beautiful graphics; when customizing bikes/riders, it will blow you away on how beautiful the textures look.”
“The graphics fall short by about a mile compared to even MX vs ATV Reflex, which is about 10 years old. The textures for the tracks are laughably bad, and the only thing that maybe looks decent are the bikes themselves.”
“Big disappointment, the graphics are very mediocre and for the price of the game, it's not worth it. The sounds are beyond bad. I bought MX vs ATV Reflex for $5 on sale and I'm much more satisfied with that purchase than this one, even though this is a brand new game and years newer than Reflex.”
“Just don't bother, the graphics are terrible. It feels like a 2009 game even on ultra. The feel of the bikes just isn't there. Everything about it feels wrong, almost like the developers just didn't bother.”

Overall, while some players appreciate the potential for enjoyable gameplay after overcoming initial learning curves, others feel it falls short of expectations, particularly for those seeking a more realistic racing experience.
“In terms of game mechanics, it's very unique to me as a racing game because there's interactions with hills and airtime in a way I haven't seen in other games, which can be micromanaged through the way you tilt and turn your vehicle.”
“The gameplay is fluid and the controls are easy; ground physics are very nice after the update.”
“The bikes feel fast and responsive, gameplay is challenging yet forgiving; this is a really fun action sports title.”
“The gameplay feels broken at worst and overly arcadey at best.”
“The gameplay is terrible; it's like they just took everything bad from the last games in the series and threw it into this game, rather than taking the good parts.”
“This game feels like a wonky mess; the mechanics are terrible and it feels slow.”

“These games always have good soundtracks, always hooking me up with a few new bands to overplay.”
“Looks pretty good, terrible soundtracks!!”

MX vs ATV: All Out [Nintendo Switch] | REVIEW
MX vs ATV: All Out has its fair share of problematic issues, but I still found myself enjoying its core racing experience on the Nintendo Switch. Sure, the physics can be iffy, the frame rate is inconsistent, and the AI is all over the place, but gearing up for a frantic race in the comfort of my bed on the Nintendo Switch’s handheld mode never stopped being satisfying – it has actually kept me coming back for more and more races every night over the last week. The reviewer in me can acknowledge that MX vs ATV: All Out isn’t a great game, but the gamer in me still has fun playing it. Ultimately, your satisfaction with the title is going to come down to what you want from it: if you’re hoping for a realistic and impressive racer you’re going to be let down, but if you’re looking for something you can have quick fixes of frantic racing fun with, you may find yourself pleasantly surprised…
