Kinect Fun Labs
Air Band is a fun and inviting experience that shows what Kinect does best. With nothing to hold or buttons to press, physical motions are enough to make music, and with a partner there's some good fun to be had. However, the inability to influence the music is a downer and will limit your desire to fire the game up time and again. Considering Fun Labs' "look what Kinect can do" doctrine it may not hit all the right notes, but it does an admirable job of replicating the passion of a musical performance.

Kinect Fun Labs: Mutation Station is essentially a digital Hall of Mirrors with six warped effects, none of which really make fantastic use of Kinect's capabilities. The software lacks the active aspects that made Kinect Fun Labs: Air Band such fun to play, and without the creativity of Kinect Sparkler it's a bit of a failed experiment.

Ultimately, Sparkler is just too limited: there's no choice of colours and no fine erase, which results in most of your pictures looking the same. The finger-tracking isn't at the level many were expecting, and the enjoyment from painting with light is likely to die out before too long for most.
