The story of "Injustice: Gods Among Us" is widely praised for its engaging narrative that intertwines the DC universe's iconic characters in a compelling alternate reality where Superman becomes a tyrant. While the story mode is relatively short, typically taking around 4-6 hours to complete, it is noted for its cinematic presentation, strong voice acting, and the seamless integration of cutscenes with gameplay. Many players recommend the game primarily for its story, which has even inspired a comic series, although some critiques mention that the plot can feel predictable or simplistic at times.
“The story adds this whole layer of heart and drama that you don't always get in fighting games.”
“Get ready to throw down with the icons and uncover a story that goes beyond the pixels – it's superhero storytelling at its finest!”
“The engaging storyline, coupled with impressive cutscenes and voice acting, makes for a truly immersive experience that will keep you hooked until the very end.”
“The story is worth going through though if you are familiar with it; it was probably done better in other media than this, which kinda feels a bit shallow.”

The gameplay in "Injustice: Gods Among Us" is generally praised for its engaging mechanics and smooth combat, reminiscent of the Mortal Kombat series, with unique features like interactive environments and the wager system adding depth. However, some players find the gameplay repetitive and occasionally hindered by clunky mechanics and performance issues, particularly in the PC port. Overall, while the game offers a fun and accessible fighting experience, it may not satisfy hardcore fighting game enthusiasts seeking more complexity and balance.

“The gameplay is fun, the music is great, there's a lot of content for the single-player experience.”
“The graphics are bad, the gameplay is bad, the hitboxes don't match the visuals. If you play the multiverse mode, you get infinite combo'd by a computer or just get two-shot.”
“The gameplay is meh for the most part that dips into occasionally being good once you get into the groove of it, which sadly was a hurdle that was hard for me to overcome with the constant changing of characters, but mostly thanks to the terrible AI, especially towards the end of the story mode.”
“The gameplay is too slow and boring; I completed the story and I uninstalled the game.”

Injustice: Gods Among Us Review - justice has been served
Injustice: Gods Among Us does a lot of things right. From a fantastic storyline, to a plethora of content, but minor balance and online bugs stop it from being the best it can be. Regardless, Injustice offers just about anything from the hardcore fighter to the beginner.
85%Injustice Review
Injustice is a great fighting game, with a healthy roster of super heroes and super villans and plenty of single-player content and great training mode to practice in. However, the lack of online options and a ranking system that doesn't match people with proper skill levels hurt the game's overall verdict, the addition of tag-team mode is also missing.
