gameplay
13 mentions Positive Neutral NegativeThe gameplay is characterized by engaging co-op mechanics, where players work together to fend off hordes of enemies and complete objectives across diverse maps with unique bosses. While the experience is fun and rewarding, particularly with friends, some players noted that certain aspects could benefit from refinement, and the horror elements were found lacking. Overall, the game offers a classic co-op experience with thoughtful design, avoiding the pitfalls of a cash grab.
“Willie/Mickie is not the only enemy in this game, with two different maps, each with their own boss (Mothman being the second). The game has legs to go in any direction it wants and not be tied down by Willie. Also, the gameplay itself is just classic co-op fun: clear out the map of the infestation, find keys, gas enemies, unlock doors, and turn valves. There was definitely a lot of thought put into the game, and it's not some cheesy, cash grab.”
“The gameplay loop is rewarding, especially fun with friends - there's a control room with a map, CCTV cameras, and an intercom system.”
“I think they should look into this if it's a bug or an actual mechanic in the game.”
“Not very scary; it got one good scare out of me very early, then it was pretty low tier on horror mechanics.”
“Being slowly overwhelmed by a horde of mutant rats, with one player fending them off with a flamethrower, while the other desperately tries to work with the third player over the intercom to locate the last objective is the kind of gameplay that makes you want to do it all over again.”
