It’s absolutely crazy, off the wall, batshit insane. It is basically just Happy Wheels but in 3D, bundled with all the gore, characters and “charm”. If you can even call it charm. Sadistic charm is probably better.
Guts and Glory is a physics-based obstacle course game filled with danger and comedy. Compete in a variety of levels with different vehicles and characters, attempting to reach the finish line while avoiding outrageous hazards. With its unique blend of over-the-top action and dark humor, Guts and Glory offers a thrilling and entertaining experience.

The humor in the game is widely praised for its dark, absurd, and often gory comedic elements, with many players finding the ragdoll physics and over-the-top scenarios particularly hilarious. While the game is described as a fun and entertaining experience, some reviewers note that the humor can wear off quickly, and the gameplay may become repetitive. Overall, it appeals to those with a taste for absurdity and a sick sense of humor, making it a popular choice for both casual play and content creation.
“The sheer brutality of the deaths and dismemberment made me laugh out loud many times.”
“This is an oddly addictive physics-based obstacle course game with a pitch-black sense of humor.”

The gameplay is a mixed bag, featuring janky controls and inconsistent mechanics that can lead to frustration, particularly in night levels and during speedruns. While the game offers a humorous and gory experience reminiscent of "Happy Wheels," many players find the controls and camera work to be problematic, detracting from the overall enjoyment. However, the ability to create custom scenarios and the addictive gameplay loop provide some redeeming qualities, making it appealing for fans of sandbox-style games.
“The gameplay is ridiculously fun!”
“Allows players to create custom scenarios and share online, granting endless gameplay hours.”
“This is easy one of the best violent arcade racing/time trial games I have played, all vehicles have a dynamic based damage setup and the characters have a soft body type of dismemberment when you get into a bad crash. The game may not look pretty by today's standards, but it makes up for it in really fun racing style gameplay.”
“However, in between all of the levels that allow you to speedrun are ones that seem to be a dice roll as to whether or not you are able to complete them, and if not, there are mechanics that, rather than making a level challenging, only make it frustrating.”
“Night levels are almost immediately the least enjoyable levels because you are suddenly unable to use the mechanics the game taught you, and with the really poor camera controls and inconsistent physics, there are going to be many deaths that just aren't your fault.”
“This game is buggy, has horrible gameplay, and it's just generally not enjoyable or entertaining at all.”

“Very fun with realistic blood and graphics, I would recommend this game to anyone new to Steam; this is a starter game.”
“The graphics are realistic.”
“The graphics are simplistic but functional for this sort of game; you really don't want anything too realistic when you're dismembering your family in-game.”
“The janky, sluggish controls are meant to be part of the experience, but it just makes me lose interest, mixed with the ugly visuals and everything else.”
“The graphics are crumby and glitchy.”
“It looks bad graphically and it also plays like a flash game; this should be free.”

“The game even has a plot (at least something like that), beating Happy Wheels with its 'lorelessness'.”
“Cities aren't supposed to be empty of any living creatures; roads aren't supposed to be this empty. The whole game feels like a fever dream with little lore or linear storytelling.”
