The gameplay is a mechanically challenging RPG that features a variety of obstacles and a wall jump/cling mechanic, which can feel inconsistent. While the movement is described as floaty and hitboxes can be glitchy, the game compensates with abundant save points and healing items, making it accessible despite its difficulty. Overall, players find the gameplay enjoyable, albeit with some frustrating elements.
“Gameplay instantly pulled me in.”
“Don't be tempted by the cute character, the gameplay is very difficult but still enjoyable.”
“Gameplay is where it's getting a lot more rough, the movement is kinda weird floaty and you don't get upgrades to improve it until a good bit into the game.”
“Mostly that, and the wall jump/cling mechanic was touch and go.”
“Gameplay is where it's getting a lot more rough; the movement is kind of weird and floaty, and you don't get upgrades to improve it until a good bit into the game. The platform hitboxes get weird, and you'll die quite a few times because of them. That's not much of a big deal since the game showers you with save points, especially in the first half, where it sometimes feels like you can't go two jumps without seeing one. The game also provides plenty of healing items without any strict limit on how much you have or how you use them. Besides the occasional bug where you can't heal at all, there's supposedly a way to craft them, which I never figured out. However, between the large amount of currency you'll get and the frequent drops, not to mention the save points healing you, you'll have way more than you need. But the game really likes to have glitchy hurtboxes that hit you many times without you being able to do anything, leading to a few bosses/enemies instakilling you.”
“I'm pretty sure this is a mechanical RPG game, so there are so many obstacles that we must pass.”
