The gameplay has received mixed reviews, with players noting that while it features challenging puzzles and exploration, the controls and mechanics can be frustrating and poorly explained. Many users criticize the time pressure associated with certain actions, particularly the oxygen mechanic, which they feel detracts from the overall experience. Despite its potential, the gameplay is often described as simplistic and buggy, leading to a lack of enjoyment and engagement.
“Gameplay is a blend of tough puzzles, basic exploration, and challenging boss encounters.”
“Unlike some, I do like the oxygen mechanic, although I think it could do with more leeway.”
“Because of the jump-right-in, no-frills gameplay and the low number of objects on each screen, I can't help but think this game would be equally suitable for handheld gaming.”
“Well first off, the controls are okay, but with the dash you get at the very end it feels awful. The buttons you have to activate many times are just annoying, which leaves very little gameplay. I feel it has very good potential, so do not take this negative review badly. If you had given the buttons a tiny bit less time pressure, this could actually have been enjoyable to play through instead of outright annoying. The time limit off puts players who do not realize it is a 'time challenge' to push them, and honestly, it is even a bit hard for people who know it is a time challenge. If removing the time challenge is not a possibility, then adding an extra 5 seconds may help. As the game is now, it's just bad, but I hope when it gets worked on a bit, it can be better than now.”
“Although it says 'this game has high difficulty', the only challenge in this game is its own annoying and buggy gameplay and its level design.”
“The controls aren't explained, the mechanics are vague, and I still can't get past the 2-room button puzzle above the start point.”

“I love the graphics, nice and retro. The game is pretty hard but fun and enjoyable. It looks like there is a big redesign coming up, which I am looking forward to.”
“The graphics and animations are very reminiscent of the NES era and have a cute sci-fi look to them that I really like.”
“The graphics are pixel, which not everyone likes.”
“The move swapping and graphics style is very Mega Man-like, but that's about the only positive about the game. It is currently still in 'early access,' ending with a message stating the full game isn't out yet.”

The game's story is currently minimal and lacks depth, with players expressing a desire for more background and context regarding the events and the protagonist's mission. While some believe the narrative may improve over time, others find the straightforward approach and absence of text or voice acting leaves much to be desired. Overall, the story is seen as underdeveloped, with players hoping for future enhancements.
“As a gamer, I would really want to understand how the event started and what his mission really is.”
“The simple story is played out exclusively through in-game events, without the use of text or voice acting.”
“So far there is very little storywise, but give it time and I am sure it will turn out to be great!”
“No proper story.”
“On the other hand we have a complete lack of story and directions; it's quite straightforward, but a hint would be nice at some points.”
“Moreover, there is no background story.”

The game's stability is heavily criticized due to numerous bugs and glitches that hinder gameplay, including a malfunctioning save mechanism. Players find the challenges presented by the game to be frustrating rather than rewarding, attributing this to poor level design and ineffective enemy mechanics.
“Although it says 'this game has high difficulty', the only challenge in this game is its own annoying and buggy gameplay and level design.”
“Annoying bugs and glitches, along with useless enemies.”
“It has glitches; the save mechanism does not work at certain points. This is infuriating, as the game is already too difficult in a cumbersome way, not a challenging or satisfying way.”

Players find the grinding aspect of the game to be tedious, particularly in relation to card farming for puzzle-solving. While it can provide a break from action-heavy gameplay, many feel it detracts from overall enjoyment and may lead them to prefer other metroidvania titles instead.
“Playtime is primarily spent on card farming.”
“This helps to figure out the puzzles quicker and allows you to relax in obviously action-only screens; however, it does not make executing progression any less tedious. In the end, I hope the developer keeps improving on this title, but I will retreat to my already substantive collection of competing metroidvania games and leave this one out for decluttering.”
“The question you need to ask yourself is this: 'Do I like tedious puzzles?'”
