The gameplay features a mix of unexpected mechanics, such as farming and pet management, which enhance the experience without overwhelming players. While the game runs smoothly and is enjoyable, especially in multiplayer, it suffers from significant bugs that can impact gameplay. Seamless tutorials are helpful for understanding the mechanics, but their persistent nature can be intrusive if not completed.
“There's a ton of mechanics that you wouldn't expect from a horror game, such as farming and pet management.”
“Although minor, these mechanics add an extra layer to the game without being too tedious or the main focus.”
“As for the game itself; it runs smoothly (albeit there are bugs), the gameplay is fun (best experienced with friends) and although I only have an hour played at the time of writing; I played the demo a fair bit prior to release.”
“There are fewer mechanics in this game that work than there are ones that don't work.”
“While the tutorials are critical for this game to know and understand the wide variety of mechanics, if you do not complete them individually, then they will continue to pop up in front of you.”
“Bugs that have a severe impact on gameplay.”

Players find the grinding aspect of the game to be a mixed experience; while the farming and resource management mechanics add depth, they can also feel tedious, especially when playing solo. The farming system is generally well-designed but presents a steep learning curve, and some mechanics, like barricades, are seen as ineffective. Overall, the grinding elements enhance the game without becoming overly burdensome.
“Farming takes a ridiculous amount of water, and barricades serve zero purpose.”
“It's definitely very tedious solo though.”
“Farming is designed acceptably, but has a sharp learning curve.”

The game currently suffers from significant stability issues, including frequent bugs and glitches that hinder gameplay, such as pets getting stuck, invisible entities, and players being randomly disconnected. While the concept is promising, these technical problems detract from the overall experience.
“Overall, the game has a very good idea, but currently it is in a state where it is too buggy and glitchy to play.”
“Enemy variety is missing, the models are boring, and the game is extremely buggy. Pets often get stuck in walls or carry crops without storing them, entities are invisible, and players are randomly thrown out of the game and can't rejoin unless invited back.”
