About
DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace is a single player shooter game with a kids theme. It was developed by PHL Collective and was released on July 15, 2022. It received mostly positive reviews from critics and neutral reviews from players.
DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace is a 2022 video game tie-in to the 2022 movie DC League of Super-Pets. The player controls Krypto and Ace as they take to the skies to protect the animal population of Metropolis from a new and looming threat.

- The game features simple, intuitive controls that make it accessible for young players, allowing them to enjoy the gameplay without frustration.
- The colorful graphics and charming character designs reflect the animated movie's aesthetic, creating an engaging visual experience for children.
- The inclusion of a pet-rescue and adoption component adds a wholesome emotional layer to the game, reinforcing themes of companionship and care.
- The on-rails format and limited variety of enemy types lead to repetitive gameplay, making missions feel monotonous and blending together quickly.
- The game lacks depth and complexity, with a short campaign that can be completed in just a couple of hours, offering little replay value for older players.
- Technical issues, such as clunky controls and a lack of visual variety in levels, detract from the overall experience, making it feel like a low-budget tie-in rather than a fully developed game.
- gameplay18 mentions Positive Neutral Negative
The gameplay is primarily a series of guided flight missions that offer a simplistic and repetitive experience, appealing mainly to young children with its familiar characters and light mechanics. However, it suffers from clunky controls, a lack of exploration, and minimal depth, resulting in a short and shallow experience that quickly becomes monotonous. Overall, while it may entertain younger audiences, it fails to provide engaging gameplay for a broader audience.
“The core gameplay unfolds as a series of guided flight missions, each sending you along a predetermined path while you dodge obstacles, target lexbots, and unleash simple character-specific abilities.”
“For families with young children who loved the movie, the experience offers familiar characters and simple mechanics that can entertain without demanding skill or attention spans beyond their years.”
“It's just a children's game, but it is fun if you like this kind of gameplay :)”
“Since the route is fixed, there’s no exploration, just repetitive map and gameplay throughout the game.”
“Repetitive and shallow gameplay that doesn't even control that well.”
“It does the bare minimum in terms of gameplay and presentation and has clunky controls that don't work half the time.”

100%DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace
In my family, DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace is a tale of two gamers. For me, I thought the game offered decent fun, the type of game I'd play and platinum over the weekend and likely not touch again. But my child's experience was much better, he's totally into the game and had incredible fun playing it. Over a week after first playing the game he's still asking me everyday to play it, so that means for him, it's a hit. The big plus is the inclusion of the adoption minigame—my little guy liked it just as much as the main game, if not more. Even with the minigame, the overall amount of content on offer is still on the low side, but that didn't bother my child one bit. So bottom line: if your little one likes DC League of Super-Pets or action games in general, odds are they'll simply adore this title.
