22 mentions Positive Neutral NegativeThe gameplay is characterized by a mix of unique enemy mechanics that create unpredictable and intense survival scenarios, keeping players engaged and on edge. However, the initial lack of enemies in the first night fails to effectively introduce the mechanics, and some players find the gameplay frustrating, particularly when facing multiple dolls at once. Overall, while the visuals and audio are simplistic, the focus on gameplay is appreciated and contributes to the horror experience.
“The story may be simple, but it serves as a backdrop to the intense survival gameplay.”
“However, each doll operates with unique mechanics, keeping you constantly guessing about whether you’ll need to run, stop, look away, or fight.”
“The developer clearly prioritized gameplay over visuals, and that was likely a smart move for this kind of horror game.”
“On the first night, there are absolutely no dolls (enemies), which is strange and it doesn't introduce you to the mechanics at all.”
“The game mechanics are just plain dumb because if you encounter one doll on its own, it's fine, but if you get any combination of more than one doll, you are dead.”
“The environments are reminiscent of games like 'Escape the Backrooms', and though more detail could have helped with immersion, the simplicity allows you to focus on the gameplay.”
