Coffee Crisis
I can recommend Coffee Crisis to people looking for a cheap game to have fun with, as well as rabid beat-em-up enthusiasts and dedicated retro collectors, but not too many people outside of those niches.

About
In Coffee Crisis, aliens want to steal Earth's coffee and gigantic 80's inspired arcade-style beat-em-up action ensures you won't let them. Join the duo of baristas, Nick and Ashley, as they brawl through dangers to save their coffee and the world. With a heavy metal/punk soundtrack and a unique comic book art style, this game delivers a caffeinated rush of nostalgia and fun.

- Coffee Crisis delivers a nostalgic '80s arcade experience with great graphics and a fantastic metal soundtrack.
- The game features a humorous and unique storyline involving aliens and coffee, which adds charm to the gameplay.
- Co-op play is enjoyable, making it a fun option for local multiplayer sessions.
- The gameplay suffers from poor mechanics, including inconsistent hitboxes and overwhelming enemy swarms that lead to frustration.
- Combat is shallow with a limited moveset, lacking meaningful combos or evasion options, making battles feel repetitive and unengaging.
- The difficulty spikes erratically, and the game lacks polish, resulting in a confusing user interface and unresponsive controls.
music
26 mentions Positive Neutral NegativeThe music in the game is predominantly a heavy metal soundtrack that resonates well with fans of the genre, enhancing the overall atmosphere and experience. While many players appreciate the energetic riffs and modern take on classic gaming music, some have noted that the short loops can become repetitive and occasionally drown out other audio elements. Overall, the soundtrack is celebrated for its quality and ability to elevate the game's fun factor, despite some minor audio balance issues.
“Brutal soundtrack, impressively modern take on a classic game-type!”
“The devs clearly love death metal, because the soundtrack is pretty much metal riff after metal riff, which is great; the whole game breathes metal, from the baristas to the whole atmosphere of concerts, music, and metalheads.”
“The soundtrack is awesomeeeee.”
“Decent music and pixel art, but a beat 'em up needs a hell of a lot more than that to be even playable, let alone good.”
“The developers clearly love death metal, as the soundtrack consists of metal riff after metal riff, which is great. However, most of the time, the metal music makes it difficult to listen to the rest of the audio sounds.”
“Story is weird, combat mechanics are poor, and even that metal soundtrack doesn't really help this game.”
Lukewarm Latte --- Coffee Crisis review
Coffee Crisis takes the interesting concept of the classic beat ‘em up with a metal and coffee theme and attempts to run with it, only to trip over itself with a questionable implementation of modifiers that can’t be selected normally, as well as bare-bones combat. All of the pieces of a quality beat ‘em up are present in this game, but it’s not quite put together yet.
