This short-but-sweet story is profoundly emotional. In just under four hours, Blanc stirred me in ways no game has before, and it managed to do it without a single word of dialogue.
"Blanc" is a local co-op 2D/3D adventure game for two players, who control a wolf cub and a fawn on a journey through a beautifully hand-drawn, black-and-white world. Using simple controls, players must navigate obstacles and harsh weather by working together, relying on each other's unique abilities. Critic Reviews
Blanc (PC)
I am very pleased with the co-op experience offered by Casus Ludi's hand-drawn Blanc. The short story of the fawn and a wolf cub is indeed an emotional one, and it will leave you feeling complete by the time the credits roll. Yes, this title is an incredibly short one, but it's worth playing on a snowy evening or on a date night. If you're looking for a co-op title that will offer you some simple yet emotionally effective gameplay, look no further than Blanc on the PC.
80%Blanc (Nintendo Switch)
Blanc provides a short but charming co-op adventure experience as you (and hopefully a friend) help a wolf and a deer find their families and assist other animals along the way. The black and white, hand-drawn style enhances the touching story of this unlikely pair coming together to help one another.
80%Blanc Review – You and I will walk together again
Blanc is a great game to play if you’re looking for another co-op game to share with someone close to you. There are some noticeable issues including a lack of visual cues and a camera that’s just not as effective as it should be. Though the journey the game takes you on is fun, and the beautiful art style is clearly evident. It’s a short enough game and there’s definitely room for improvement. But it’s also clear that the passion is there. Another good and wholesome game for anyone to play!
