  • Gameplay is simple and fun, making it easy to pick up and play, especially in multiplayer settings.
  • The community is active and creative, providing a plethora of unique characters and content that enhance the overall experience.
  • The AI is often unresponsive and lacks depth, leading to repetitive and unchallenging matches.

  • There are frequent bugs and glitches, including crashes and issues with hit detection, which detract from the overall enjoyment.

    28 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The gameplay has received mixed reviews, with some players appreciating its simplicity and nostalgic feel reminiscent of classic wrestling games, while others criticize it for being dull, repetitive, and lacking depth. Many users highlight the detailed creation suite as a standout feature, but express disappointment in the limited match variety and numerous gameplay issues, suggesting that the game feels unfinished. Overall, while the gameplay is solid for casual enjoyment, it may not satisfy those seeking a deeper or more varied wrestling experience.

    • “This game has pretty solid gameplay - no additional cutscenes, so I imagine the money is well spent.”
    • “The creation suite is insanely detailed, and the gameplay is simple and fun!”
    • “And gameplay is like fresh air these days.”
    • “The gameplay is so dull and repetitive that it couldn't hold me for more than a few minutes at a time.”
    • “This game in its current format absolutely stinks. I've tried many times to like this game back when it was under the Chikara banner, but there are so many issues with the gameplay that it has become unbearable for me. I still give some respect to Vico as this is their first effort in the video gaming industry, but the issues have become something that the studio doesn't want to touch, like the fact that some moves can cause the wrestler to be positioned midair, the AI wrestlers going nowhere near the outside of the ring, the battle royal mode being nearly unusable, and the sound cutting out way too often. There are new issues created with the voiceover; out goes the calm match reporter and in comes Randy Savage on steroids, which makes it difficult to get through matches. I would say that you should save up money and get Fire Pro Wrestling World, especially if you have a laptop. If you do want to play this game, I would wait until they sort out most of these issues, but for now, I'm putting this game into a developmental promotion and waiting until the contract runs out.”
    • “The matches themselves are way too similar; it feels all the same, no matter what wrestler you choose. It's always the same limited gameplay.”
  • music
    14 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The game features a customizable music option, allowing players to upload their own tracks to accompany character selections and victories, enhancing the personal experience. However, there are no entrance themes for characters, which limits the musical experience during character introductions. Overall, the in-game music during matches is well-received, but the lack of entrance music is noted as a drawback.

    • “The ability to add custom music is a fantastic feature, allowing players to personalize their experience.”
    • “You can create a folder for your music, and when selecting a character, you can choose a track from that folder to play if that character wins.”
    • “The in-game music during matches enhances the overall atmosphere and makes each battle feel unique.”
    • “There are no entrances, so there's no music to walk down to.”
    • “The game lacks custom music options, which is disappointing.”
    • “I would love to set up a gauntlet with custom music, but the current options are limited.”
  • graphics
    14 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The graphics of this arcade wrestling game are generally well-received, featuring a blend of realistic and fantastical elements in a 3D environment that enhances gameplay. While customization options allow for recognizable character designs, the graphics are not considered high-end, and some moves may not visually connect despite registering as hits. Overall, the game is praised for its fun visuals and solid performance, especially when compared to competitors like Fire Pro Wrestling.

    • “One of the best arcade wrestling games that has come out so far. I'm pretty impressed by it! It's easy to pick up, simple to do moves, and you have a blend of realism and fantasy, which is perfect. Hit detection is flawless, and you can play a match really well. It doesn't have clunky 2D graphics; it's 3D, and that's what makes it great!”
    • “Great customization, fun graphics, and excellent gameplay.”
    • “Just look at some of the created wrestlers in this game compared to Fire Pro Wrestling, and you will easily see that this game makes it very simple to achieve something recognizable without a name tag.”
    • “Moves sometimes don't connect graphically but still count as hits.”
    • “-graphics, just look at some of the created wrestlers in this vs fire pro wrestling, and you will easily see this game makes it very simple to achieve something recognizable without a name tag.”
    • “While the possible looks for the wrestlers are highly variable, the graphics are not high-end and considerable effort is required to make them look good.”

Users express a desire for a more developed story element in the game, noting that even some indie mobile games offer in-depth narratives. While the gameplay is enjoyable, many reviewers feel the absence of a career or story mode detracts from long-term engagement. Overall, the lack of a substantial story or progression system is a common point of criticism.

    • “Even some indie mobile games have a very in-depth storyline.”
    • “I really enjoy the 2-button gameplay, but I do wish there was a career mode or story mode to keep me coming back to it.”

    • “Very funny, cheap (wait for discount) and you can create your own fighters, or download the ones created by other players; just remember to download the factory.”
    • “Fun arcade wrestling game, fast-paced with funny moves. I set fire to some dude using a fire ant and became Harry Potter by shooting a lightning bolt at some other guy.”

The game offers exceptional replayability, featuring a vast array of user-generated content, including custom wrestlers, arenas, and belts, ensuring players have endless opportunities for new experiences.
