There’s plenty of space for engaging narratives that don’t rely on traditional gameplay and opportunities to craft smaller tales. A Memoir Blue manages both very well in the process of pulling at the heart strings in just the right way.
"A Memoir Blue" is an interactive poem that explores the relationship between a superstar athlete, Miriam, and her mother's all-encompassing love. The game features a unique aesthetic combining hand-drawn and 3D art, as Miriam swims through her memories, reliving moments of sacrifice, heartbreak, victory, and pride. The gameplay vignettes deepen Miriam's connection with her inner child and strengthen her bond with her mother.
