The story has received mixed reviews, with some players feeling disappointed by its abrupt ending and lack of interactive elements that could enhance immersion. While the narrative is accessible even for those unfamiliar with the source material, it is noted that familiarity with the show may provide a deeper understanding. Overall, players express a desire for more engaging storytelling mechanics and options to explore the narrative at their own pace.
“Story sort of like Sword Art Online.”
“I don't like how you move. I have seen VR games with a very good way of looking, and the way it is here is just dumb. Plus, I don't know if there are other things you can do for a different ending, but the fact that it ends when the story gets to the good part is a mega letdown. This looked like it had so much going on.”
“If you want players to go to the minigame section of the game to continue the story, then have it optional by using the computer. Let the player interact with it and actually call the unknown character on Discord; it would make them more immersed and allow them to choose when they want to go to the next part.”
“There is a story (narrated in Spanish with English subtitles) which makes more sense if you've seen the show, but it's not needed to really follow what's happening.”
