The gameplay has been criticized for its lack of quality and modernity, with comparisons made to the poorly received "Fist of Jesus." Overall, it appears to be a significant weakness of the game.

The game features a compelling story that appeals to younger audiences, offering a narrative experience reminiscent of Sakai's art and storytelling, without the excessive violence typical of other titles like Mortal Kombat. However, it lacks achievements, positioning it primarily as a score attack game with a good story rather than a fully fleshed-out experience.
“It has no achievements, so truly, it's nothing more than a score attack game with a good story following.”
“Nothing fancy like Mortal Kombat, less violent and good for younger audiences, and like the wonderful comic series recommended to those who enjoy Sakai's art and storytelling.”
