Sacrifices Must Be Made is a single player action game. It was developed by Daniel Mullins and was released on December 2, 2018. It received very positive reviews from players.

In "Sacrifices Must Be Made," players find themselves in a log cabin, starving and in need of defeating a stranger at a game of cards to earn food. This 10-15 minute Unity game, created for Ludum Dare 43, features mouse and keyboard controls, with a reset option, and was the basis for the subsequent game, Inscryption. Tools used include Photoshop, PixaTool, Audacity, Garage Band, and a microphone for sound recordings. The game is localized in Spanish and Italian.
