Overall, the graphics of the game receive high praise, with many users noting that they are among the best in the drifting genre, featuring polished car models and stunning visual effects. However, some players express concerns about optimization issues and the lack of content, which detracts from the overall experience. While the graphics are generally well-received, there are calls for improved performance and additional customization options.
“Graphics: 8/10, car models are very polished and all visual aspects look stunning and are very well put together.”
“Not only are the graphics the best out of all the drift games I have played, but the most immersive with the open world drifting and the very custom options on the cars.”
“The game is extremely simple and low-end devices could easily handle it, the graphics are amazing and the physics are satisfying.”
“The game looks like it has a filter put on it and the graphics are nowhere near as in the video.”
“The graphics are decent but the map that I explored felt empty and the courses within didn't look fun to link.”
“I really recommend this game, it's fun but the only thing they need to do immediately is to optimize the graphics.”

The gameplay is generally well-received, with solid drifting mechanics and a variety of cars that enhance the experience. Players appreciate the smooth controls, especially with keyboard and wheel setups, and the community aspect adds to the enjoyment. However, some criticisms include a lack of engaging activities, a frustrating grind for upgrades, and issues with the physics that can make drifting feel inconsistent.
“The keyboard experience is actually enjoyable and easy to master, enabling steering assist makes the movements a lot smoother and less jagged without altering the difficulty or gameplay at all.”
“Very enjoyable drift game, good progression, a nice selection of cars, and pretty damn good physics and mechanics.”
“Super fun, car progression keeps the gameplay alive, having a server full of like-minded people is what will keep this game going.”
“Gameplay-wise, it lacks activities!”
“The physics are weird and clunky; you're either too slidey or you can't slide at all. The cars just feel like paper or massive blocks of concrete. Nothing feels right in this game, so the main point of the game, which is drifting, feels off and weird most times. It's just annoying to play. Assetto Corsa is easier to play than this game, and that's a realistic sim. The other gameplay elements, like the horrible grind for money, are ridiculous. Just drifting around a roundabout for hours to get money is not fun or has any point; it's just a wait timer to get your cars upgraded, which barely feel any different anyway. The weird damage system and constantly repairing your car is just annoying, and literally, no one has ever asked for that in a drifting game, especially an arcade one.”
“Various engine swaps, exhaust notes, and underglow that were available via normal gameplay are now locked behind a $10 USD pass, and you probably will also need to purchase them with in-game currency.”

The reviews indicate that the game is perceived as excessively grindy, with many players expressing frustration over the slow progression in earning cars and upgrades, often requiring significant time investment or additional spending. While some players appreciate the grind as part of the fun, particularly in the context of drifting, the overall sentiment leans towards a need for a more balanced approach to progression and rewards.
“Each upgrade works like it's supposed to, with a noticeable difference, and the upgrade progression is smooth and not too grindy.”
“Progression to earn cars is just way too few and far between, and you get random unlocks instead of being able to buy a car with in-game currency. You're basically forced to wade through countless cars just to get the few you want, unless you just spend copious amounts of money. I bought the overpass hoping to have an easier time with progressing and earning money, but it barely helps and the overpass cars all have to be unlocked in the same tedious fashion.”
“While this game has a much better visual package and physics, everything down to car customization, performance upgrades, and more are expensive with the in-game currency, which takes a lot of grinding.”
“Physics are still c-tier, the new map is a barren 80ft tall 'highway' that feels like a GMod race track, and very conveniently, the game got more grindy and the only thing added were paid car DLCs. Successful money grab game though they got my initial buy-in, lmao.”

The optimization of the game has received mixed reviews, with some players praising its high frame rates and decent performance, especially for an early access title from a small team. However, many users report significant frame drops, particularly in multiplayer scenarios, and express a strong need for further optimization to enhance gameplay, especially regarding AI performance and graphical settings. Overall, while the visuals are commendable, the game requires substantial improvements in optimization to meet player expectations.
“Btw, very nice optimization, didn't see that coming from a small team with an early access game.”
“- very optimized (high fps, not that we need it for this type of game but it’s nice.”
“The cars themselves are really cool looking with a few nice applicable upgrades (both performance and optical).”
“The optimization and AI is the only problem here; the game itself is good, but we need an option to turn off the AI.”
“Graphics are awesome as well, but it causes a ton of frame drops; some optimization will be needed.”
“Decent game, needs serious optimization when groups of people are around.”

The music in the game receives mixed reviews, with many players finding it unappealing, particularly criticizing the low-quality car sounds and the techno-dubstep-rap soundtrack. Some appreciate the option to mute the music entirely, while others enjoy using their own playlists for a more enjoyable experience. Overall, there is a consensus that the game could benefit from a better soundtrack and sound engineering.
“I do like this game truly, it's fun, the physics are great, the music is decent, and wheel support works well with my setup.”
“I play music or stream while on this game and it is so chill.”
“It's perfect for just playing some nice music and chilling while drifting around.”
“All in-game music is some kind of techno, dubstep, gangster rap combined.”
“Also, the game needs another sound engineer not only for the sound effects but for the soundtrack playlist.”
“To tune the starter van, you have to suffer through the menus and it would require more than 2 hours of tedium and terrible music, so I just returned the game.”

The game features minimal story elements, with most players noting that it primarily focuses on gameplay rather than narrative. While there is some story present, it is largely overshadowed by mission-based gameplay aimed at earning upgrades, and the overall experience is considered positive for an early access title.

“There is a story, but most of the game is focused on gameplay.”

The monetization strategy of the game has been criticized for being overly reliant on microtransactions and DLCs, with each car pack priced at 10€, leading many to perceive it as a cash grab. Players express frustration over the necessity to purchase additional content for basic features, likening the experience to that of mobile games filled with ads. Overall, the approach to monetization has detracted from the game's enjoyment for many users.
“Good game, but there are too many microtransactions. If you want to buy a car, you have to purchase DLCs. If you want a good exhaust, you also need to buy DLC. I don't like how developers want to make all your money from these DLCs.”
“Every car pack costs 10€, it's a big cash grab.”
“Right now, it feels like one of those mobile games with so many ads.”
“Although I feel like this game is just a cash grab, considering that almost everything is flipped from RDS.”

The game's stability is a mixed bag; while it benefits from a supportive community that helps address bugs and implement player-requested features, users report persistent issues with wheel settings and server reliability. Despite these challenges, the game performs well on lower-end hardware, indicating good optimization. However, players express frustration over the lack of support for server-related problems, particularly regarding point retention when leaving servers.
“There's a lot of graphic options, and it runs great on my modest gaming laptop maxed out (cinematic on all settings), so it'll probably run on your potato!”
“Not only is there a lack of support, the wheel settings were buggy at best consistently.”
“Please, if the servers are buggy, at least make it where if you leave a server your points are cashed in or some fix of the sort.”
“They have an incredible community of drifters on their team and it helps us, the players, to get bugs and glitches fixed as well as get things added into the game that we feel is necessary.”
