The game's story is minimal, primarily revolving around a series of repetitive fetch quests and basic interactions with static NPCs, which can lead to a lack of engagement over time. While players appreciate the variety of activities available, such as driving a train and engaging in side missions, many express a desire for a more structured narrative and improved quest mechanics. Overall, the game is seen as a decent life simulation experience, but it suffers from bugs and a lack of depth in its storytelling elements.
“I do enjoy the game, but it would be nice to see more updates because I'd love to see more in the game and have more side stuff to do as well. For a train sim, it's great because you can work as a train driver and get paid, then spend that money on an apartment until you can own a house. There are pastimes like gambling at a casino, making and shipping drugs, and a strip club. If you talk to some of the NPCs, you can get a mission from them if you become friends with them. It is probably the best life sim we have right now, and I would love to see more get added to the game.”
“I've beaten all the quests (so far), and I think this is the best first-person life sim on Steam. Plus, initially, the missions are likewise good.”
“The side missions add extra depth, though it's too easy to unlock NPC affinity if you keep talking to them. If you mess up the first time, just remember the correct sequence of answers, and you can go back in.”
“There's no real storyline, and learning what to do is a stretch.”
“Most of the quests are bugged or broken.”
“Finally, when I hit around 15 hours, the quests become repetitive and boring.”

The gameplay is characterized by a mix of intriguing concepts and poorly executed mechanics, leading to a feeling of an unfinished product. While there are enjoyable elements like open-world exploration and a needs mechanic, many players find the quest system, combat, and overall engagement lacking, resulting in repetitive and shallow experiences. Despite its potential, significant improvements are needed in core mechanics and content depth to enhance long-term enjoyment.
“The main character can lockpick places, which are marked with small yellow padlocks on the map and with large ones on the doors in the gameplay.”
“There is plenty to do: bars and clubs to frequent, different jobs, open world exploration, a needs mechanic, apartments to buy, people to date.”
“After an hour of gameplay, it's definitely fun and seems to be heaps to explore and do.”
“A cool concept, but this feels like an early access/alpha stage in development and would need some serious work done on its core mechanics and making the world feel more alive for it to be worth playing long term.”
“The actual metro sim part isn't too bad, but the lazy side-quests, awkward dialogue, and sluggish feeling gameplay made this a letdown.”
“All the mechanics you encounter in some 30 minutes, afterwards you're bored senseless and I couldn't be bothered to play any more.”
