Overall, the gameplay has received overwhelmingly negative feedback, with many users citing slow controls, chaotic mechanics, and unresponsive interfaces as major issues. While some players appreciated the graphics and potential for fun in multiplayer settings, the core gameplay experience is often described as frustrating and unplayable, with significant room for improvement.
“The graphics were impressive, the gameplay was outstanding, and the card collecting was fun; it was like going to your nearest store and buying the pack hoping you earn that one card you need.”
“+ outstanding graphics and gameplay”
“Where that is a 1-minute game, locosoccer ups the ante with a full on 5 minutes of gameplay per match with a team of 5.”
“The crazy physics-based mechanics of this soccer game make it silly and unplayable.”
“Catastrophic controls and gameplay.”
“Almost every time reviewing a Unity engine game, I have to say its interface feels clunky and unresponsive. In this one, they made that irritating quality a stepping stone of their gameplay - the whole process of 'soccer' is chaotic beyond measure, yet the AI is always more aware of the possible ball's trajectories than you could ever be.”

“Incredibly cute graphics!”
“The graphics are horrible.”
“Audiovisuals are bottom of the ladder.”
“It's a 2D game with crude 3D graphics, where you control five blocks colored as soccer players. You switch between them with the 1-2-3 numerical keys; these blocks can move from side to side, jump up, and rotate in the air.”

“Soundtrack 10/10.”
“Unfortunately, the developer couldn't offer me a soundtrack or a CD with the music theme, which was a massive shame as the three-second loop was absolutely fire!”

The game's stability is heavily criticized, with users reporting numerous bugs that hinder gameplay, such as characters getting stuck and unresponsive controls. Many players feel that the NPC behavior is erratic and contributes to a frustrating experience, suggesting that significant improvements are needed for the game to be enjoyable. Overall, the consensus is that the game lacks a solid foundation due to its instability.
“It's so buggy; I don't know why everyone just stacks at a ball and you can't even move.”
“The NPCs are very fishy; they seem to always want the ball out of bounds when it's on their side. The controls are okay, but the gameplay is not very good. I bought this game when it came out, and it's pretty buggy. The ball gets stuck between our feet like we're robots rolling around as wheels for a soccer ball, which is silly. You need to fix it, and more people will like this game. (P.S. This game is like the impossible game to win.)”
“Normally, I'd say that if they fix the glitches, the game would be a lot better, but I just don't think there's a foundation here for a great game.”

The game's story conveys a powerful message about perseverance and the unpredictability of life, emphasizing that giving up can prevent personal growth. However, some players feel the lack of a substantial narrative detracts from the experience, especially given the limited multiplayer options.
“The moral of the story is that you never know what life has in store for you. If I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today.”
“The game has no story, so it would be better if you could at least play online instead of just with bots.”
