  • gameplay36 mentions

The gameplay is characterized by simple mechanics that are easy to master, making it suitable for casual play, but it suffers from repetitiveness and a lack of depth compared to previous titles in the series. While the graphics are praised and the game runs smoothly, many players feel that the monetization aspects detract from the overall experience, leading to a mundane and uninspired gameplay loop. Overall, it offers a relaxed gaming experience with some enjoyable elements, but it could benefit from more engaging objectives and variety.

    • “The mechanics are easy to master but there is plenty of scope for what to do with them - customize appearances, unlock upgrades, etc. This game is ideal for just dropping in and out of when you have a spare moment or for idly poking about with when you don't feel like doing anything too taxing.”
    • “The graphics are just amazing and run smoothly even on an older device. The gameplay is addicting, the grind is just right, not too tedious but enjoyable. The form of premium currency in this game is perfect, easy to obtain but takes time to save up for something.”
    • “Simple, relaxed gameplay with the legendary LEGO charm!”
    • “On top of this, the gameplay is slow.”
    • “The same game mechanics every time, just click the missing item(s).”
    • “Without any overarching storyline or quest/goals system, gameplay gets very repetitive very quickly.”
  • story23 mentions

The story aspect of the game has been criticized for its lack of depth and coherence, leading to repetitive gameplay without a clear overarching narrative or goals. Players express frustration with the mission system, which feels tedious and poorly designed, particularly with the introduction of random daily missions and limitations on character interactions. Overall, the absence of engaging story elements and meaningful missions detracts from the overall enjoyment of the game.

    • “I hope you make a Lego simulator where you can become a normal Lego boy/girl, create a big city, and do anything in the city like find a job, drive a car, and play mini-games. It would be better if you included a story mode; I will be waiting for new games.”
    • “I have already built 80006 stories; I downloaded this game Sunday morning and just reached 80006 stories.”
    • “Without any overarching storyline or quest/goals system, gameplay gets very repetitive very quickly.”
    • “I got bored pretty quickly, and there are certain aspects (like missions) they don't explain, so I didn't know what I was supposed to do with them.”
    • “The 'parking' is lame and pointless, and the new daily missions make absolutely no sense - apparently completion is based on pure random chance now?”
  • humor18 mentions

The humor in the game is widely praised, with players appreciating the quirky character interactions, clever references like "blockbook," and amusing animations that add to the overall experience. Many find the humor to be a standout feature, contributing to the game's charm, though some suggest it could benefit from even more comedic elements. • “My only issue is that when you try to do something like use the elevator or do a mini mission, the game freezes. But either way, it's a lot of fun.”
    • “It's a great game, but I have been experiencing some glitches from the Spooktober update, especially losing pieces, coins, bux, and even floors.”
    • “Only thing is the elevator glitches out after you upgrade it so many times.”
  • music15 mentions

The music in the game receives mixed feedback; while some players find it amazing and enjoyable, others criticize it for being uninspired and reminiscent of previous titles like Tiny Tower. • “Is there any option to change the music?”

Overall, the grinding can be both entertaining and frustrating, depending on the player's perspective.

    • “Collecting enough money to build extra floors is tedious.”
    • “As you progress, the time to complete a tower only increases to the point where it becomes tedious instead of enjoyable.”
    • “Compared to the original Tiny Tower, it feels more designed to take your money because it is slower, and helpful NPCs and missions are more tedious since you can only have one vehicle parked in front at a time.”
  • optimization6 mentions

Overall, the game's optimization is a mixed bag; while it runs smoothly on older devices and features impressive graphics, players report issues such as stuttering, lag during extensive gameplay, and occasional crashes. Despite these performance concerns, many find the gameplay enjoyable and the premium currency system well-balanced.
