- monetization389 mentions Positive Neutral Negative
The monetization aspect of the game has received mixed reviews, with many players expressing frustration over the frequency and intrusiveness of ads, often appearing after nearly every level. While some users appreciate the option to pay for ad removal and find the game enjoyable despite the ads, others feel that the ad load detracts significantly from the overall experience, leading to a perception of the game as a "cash grab." Overall, while the game offers a fun experience, the consensus is that the ad frequency could be reduced to enhance gameplay.
“This game is a lot of fun, and isn't reliant on pay-to-play or in-app purchases to complete the free levels or get fun weapons to use!”
“Plus, any/all in-app purchases are not forced upon you, unless you want more costumes, stages, weapons, and no ads.”
“Overall great experience, glad it's not dependent on microtransactions!”
“Now, I would rate it a 5/5 if it weren't for all the ads such as: after almost every level and when I need a hint/solution.”
“Please, I understand you have to make money, but force-feeding ads at almost every opportunity is bad form.”
“What a great game but the ads just kill it; I'd tell everyone how good it is if it wasn't for the ads and then it definitely would be 5 stars.”
Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle Review
While Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle doesn’t stray too far from the template of Slayaway Camp: Butcher’s Cut, it does offer some much-needed adjustments to its gory puzzle formula. With 12 chapters to work your way through and 150 different scenes to drench in gore, plenty of costumes to unlock, and all manner of implements to wield (complete with grisly death animations), this cartoonish puzzler offers a fitting way to ring in Halloween on Nintendo Switch.

Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle might have a simple concept and an even simpler look, but it manages to be a bloody (pun intended) good game, with many stages to complete, and with the puzzles getting progressively harder and more complex at the best possible pace. Apart from a very low replay value, fans of the genre are definitely advised to give it a shot.
