The game's story has received mixed reviews, with some players appreciating its engaging narrative and appealing graphics, while others criticize it for being basic and repetitive. Many users express frustration over the pay-to-win mechanics that hinder progression, particularly in story missions, which can feel unbalanced and frustrating. Overall, while the story has potential and is enjoyable for fans of the genre, issues with pacing and monetization detract from the experience for some players.
“A fun mecha story with funny dialogue and good animation.”
“The story is much better than I expected for an idle game.”
“Great game, amazing battle scenes and storyline.”
“This game is great at almost everything except the pay to win and expensive items and unfair AI matching. I mostly hate the story mission which is broken. I have all red units and my enemy will be blue, my weakness. I changed it to green, then the enemy changes to red, my weakness, and this all happens on the same mission in chapter 2-6. I could not get past it. Free to play is 1 level per day for unit upgrades while pay to win is 20 levels per day for each unit. I would not recommend it to anyone.”
“It's like a fraud to me... for fan service... I really love it... but the game's story, events, quests without progress notice, rewards, having little characters, same character but different elements... all of them are bad. I guarantee you (players)... you'll get bored after playing this game for a week or two... but for myself... I got bored after playing it once. So in my opinion, two stars for this game is right for me because it has really good fan service and I love it.”
“Seems like a difficulty wall hits in chapter 2 of the story, forcing players to spend money to get good units.”

The gameplay has received mixed reviews, with many players appreciating the fun mechanics, deep progression system, and engaging graphics, while others criticize the pay-to-win elements and sluggish character movements. Some find the gameplay enjoyable and user-friendly, but many express frustration over the gacha mechanics and difficulty in leveling up without spending money. Overall, while the game has potential and appealing art, the gameplay experience is marred by balance issues and monetization concerns.
“Cool game mechanics, lots of stuff to upgrade, deep progression curve with the nonachip system, very 'cultured' art style.”
“Love the design and art, gameplay is fun and addictive, lots of customization in upgrading units.”
“The simplicity of the gameplay makes it so much fun.”
“The game has potential, but I think the level-up mechanic is a little hard to manage since you either have to sacrifice a character or keep replaying a stage. It's also hard to get a 3-star character, let alone a 4-star, since you really have to save up your diamonds, and it's not easy to get diamonds in the game. I might visit it again if it gets a remake, but overall, it's a pretty decent game, just not really to my liking.”
“The pay-to-win mechanics are harsh.”
“Boring, uninspired gameplay... another pay-to-win energy-based cash grab... rinse, lather, and repeat... basically only good for passing about 10 minutes a day... unless you drop lots of $$$... deleted this garbage.”

Players find the grinding aspect of the game to be tedious and slow, with a lack of character variety and insufficient rewards for their efforts. While some progress can be made through grinding, it often feels sluggish and unfulfilling, leading to frustration over the balance between time investment and in-game rewards. Overall, the grinding experience is seen as excessive, with many players expressing a desire for a more engaging and rewarding system.
“The character progression is really slow and the daily sequence is a bit tedious.”
“Grinding much won't give higher quality items much.”
“Too grindy though.”

The monetization strategy of the game is widely criticized as being overly greedy and heavily reliant on pay-to-win mechanics, with many users feeling that significant progress requires substantial financial investment. While some appreciate the game's design and lack of intrusive ads, the overall sentiment suggests that it is primarily a cash grab, offering limited enjoyment without spending money.
“Well thought out, good design; graphics aren't half bad either, but it's extremely pay-to-play. There are no ads, and I guess they have to make their money somehow, but if you want to progress, you will end up paying.”
“Fun for 5 minutes and then it's an obvious cash grab.”
“Greedy monetization, overpriced gacha as with any mobile game, but there's actual effort and soul that went into this app.”
“Boring uninspired gameplay... another pay-to-win energy-based cash grab... rinse, lather, and repeat... basically only good for passing about 10 minutes a day... unless you drop lots of $$$... deleted this garbage.”

The game is praised for its smooth performance on low-end devices, maintaining good graphics and fighting mechanics. However, players suggest improvements in the movement and animations of the characters, as they feel somewhat sluggish, and recommend adding new player events or quests for better early-game resource acquisition.
“This game can run smoothly on low-end devices, which I'm happy about. 😀”
“Great graphics and fighting mechanics, but I have a suggestion: improve and optimize the movement and animations of the xens because they feel a bit sluggish. It would also be nice to introduce new player events or quests to help players gather materials and units early on.”
“Great graphics and fighting mechanics, but I have a suggestion: improve and optimize the movement and animations of the Xens because they feel a bit sluggish. Additionally, it would be beneficial to introduce new player events or quests to help players gather materials and units early on. Offering a free 10-pull or a free Xen selector would also make it easier to collect materials later. That's my thoughts for now.”

“The game lacks variety, making it hard to find reasons to replay it.”
“Once you've completed the main story, there's little incentive to go back.”
“The limited choices and outcomes mean that replaying feels more like a chore than a fun experience.”
