- The game features charming visuals and inspired level design, providing a polished experience that encourages cooperation and communication among players.
- It offers a chaotic yet enjoyable multiplayer experience, especially with up to four players, making it a great choice for gatherings and celebrations.
- The single-player campaign is short and lacks depth compared to the multiplayer experience, making it less appealing for solo players.

The gameplay is characterized by its simplicity and a strong emphasis on player communication, as collaboration is essential for effectively manipulating objects. However, players express a desire for more diverse mechanics and object types to prevent the experience from becoming repetitive and to enhance overall engagement.
“The game mechanics rely on 50% communication with the other players, as you can't lift objects very well on your own. It's essential to tell them where to move and what to do next.”
“The game itself would become even better with some enhanced game mechanics, so playing in new 'worlds' will not feel too repetitive soon.”
“However, it would be a great solution to enrich the mechanics even further.”
“The gameplay is pretty simple.”
“The game mechanics rely on 50% communication with the other players, as you can't lift objects very well on your own and need to tell them where to move and what to do next.”
“Currently, the objects are pretty limited, not only in their shapes but also in their mechanics.”

Bonkies Review
A fun and challenging puzzle game that is best played co-op. If you are on your own, racing against the timer and trying to move heavy blocks around can become quite hard and get frustrating.

For a game as adorable and as silly as Bonkies, it can be quite challenging. Younger players may have a bit of a learning curve before they can enjoy it, and the single player is not worth anyone's time. Nevertheless, for players who love playing chaotic, funny and difficult teamwork titles (think Overcooked and Moving Out), Bonkies is the space chimp party game that will leave players smiling or shouting, having a good time either way.

At a time when multiplayer games are a great way to catch up with friends, Bonkies delivers a chaotic experience you can play with family and friends both old and new to games. Restricting the game to local co-op only was a big loss but if you have 2-4 players to play with or have a good enough connection for Remote Play then I can guarantee a fun time.
