The story of the game is well-crafted and engaging, particularly for fans of the original "Amnesia" series. While initial skepticism regarding certain elements was present, players found themselves captivated as they progressed, with the narrative offering a satisfying blend of character development and emotional depth. The inclusion of new content and a strong conclusion, especially in the Orion route, enhances the overall experience, making it a worthwhile play for fans.
“I loved the main Amnesia game, so I purchased this one. Although I was looking forward to it, I started playing with low expectations since it was released so quickly. At first, I was skeptical, wondering if the character designs were off-balance or if the sound processing was lacking compared to the original. However, as I progressed through the after story, I became completely engrossed. If you're a fan of Amnesia, you absolutely have to play this! The CG is all new, with each character having nine images and one reward image. Completing the routes for Waka and the girls unlocks additional rewards. Of course, it's fully voiced. One point to note is that the girls' route focuses more on friendship rather than the main characters, and it's more about collecting profiles of the characters. Overall, I feel a bit presumptuous saying this, but 'it's very well put together'!!! I think that phrase fits perfectly! The Orion route that unlocks at the end was also very good. The title 'Amnesia' is mentioned in the game, which was quite moving. The scenario is truly excellent, and I believe it's a game worth playing multiple times.”
“The story is incredibly engaging and well-crafted. Each character's backstory adds depth to the overall narrative, making it a rich experience. I found myself emotionally invested in the characters and their journeys, which is a testament to the quality of the writing. The intertwining plots kept me on my toes, and I loved how the choices I made influenced the outcome. It's a game that not only entertains but also resonates on a deeper level.”
“What I appreciated most about the story was its ability to blend mystery and emotional depth seamlessly. The character development is outstanding, and the plot twists are both surprising and satisfying. I was captivated from start to finish, and the way the story unfolds encourages multiple playthroughs to fully appreciate all the nuances. This is a narrative-driven game that truly delivers an unforgettable experience.”
“The story feels disjointed and lacks the depth that I was hoping for. It seems like the developers rushed through the narrative without fully fleshing out the characters or their motivations.”
“I found the plot to be predictable and uninspired. There were moments that could have been impactful, but they fell flat due to poor pacing and lack of emotional engagement.”
“While the game has beautiful visuals, the story itself is a letdown. It doesn't build on the original lore effectively and leaves many questions unanswered.”
